Our Discord Community is composed of members that often show up to our in-person meetups. It’s a place where members from all over Minnesota can get together, share memes, music, whatever our hyperfocus is on that particular day and whatever else you’d expect from an online community. We often have virtual meetups where everyone is invited. We have meet up rooms for each individual location, but the location restriction is never enforced. Everybody is welcome. We even have a few people from out of state who are good friends of our official members! Our moderators work hard to ensure everybody plays nice. Things aren’t too strict, as long as you Follow the Golden Rule: don’t be a jerk.
Rules:
- Be Kind and Courteous: We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
- No Hate Speech or Bullying: Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind is not allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
- No Promotions or Spam: Give more than you take in this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links are not allowed.
- Respect Everyone’s Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group unless consent is otherwise given.
